Have you ever wondered what other countries or culture celebrates Christmas for?

Save the date in December.

Come celebrate or witness with the Pinoy “Filipino American” Van-Port Ministries as they try to replicate the four months Christmas celebration in the Philippines – known to be the happiest and longest Christmas families and friends get together “salu-salo” in the Philippines and of all countries in the world. They are sharing the never ending merrymaking as we wait for the birth of baby Jesus, proclaiming Jesus as our Saviour in the midst of adversity, tribulations and joy – laughter of kids receiving gifts from their Ninong/Ninang (godfather/godmother)
Tita/Tito(Aunt/Uncle) friends(kaibigan) kaklase(classmate) and others. At Christmas (Pasko) in the Philippines, you’ll observe Mano or Pagmamano an “honoring-gesture” where you take the elder’s back of their hand lightly touching on your forehead. It is part of Filipino culture as a sign of respect to elders and as a way of requesting a blessing from them

At the Gathering in homes, churches, even malls is the retelling stories of Jesus birth, singing Christmas carols (now the famous karaoke fun) at school, children with fun games (silly games for prices) and lots of food you can name of during Christmas til New Year. They’ll have more surprises and they don’t want you to miss it.

Save the date: Pinoy Christmas Salu-Salo Embrace ‘Prince of Peace”.

Maraming Salamat! Thank you so much.
